A proud Navy brat. Born into a naval aviator’s family Donna moved around the country every eighteen months and went to fifteen schools before graduating from Old Dominion University with a bachelors degree in Special Education and a desire to travel the world. After graduation she kept up the gypsy life & spent the next 20 years in St. Thomas, USVI . Teaching Special Education, advocating for adults with disabilities at the VI Association for Independent Living, serving on the board of an AIDS hospice all gave her a desire to return to the US mainland and continue her education. After rebuilding from Hurricane Hugo she left the tropics and landed in Raleigh. While coordinating clinical services at Autism Services, Inc. Donna attended ECU & completed her clinical social work degree. Since then she has focused on Healthy Divorce Recovery with individuals, families, adults and children. Her practice embraces coping and moving forward with a focus on healing the whole person and the whole family. She believes divorce wellness is best achieved by focusing on healing the mind, body, spirit connection. She never tires in assisting people in focusing & rebuilding their lives while making the transition through divorce process no matter what stage of the process you are in: before, during or after.
